This Privacy Policy explains how DukaanAdda collects, uses, stores, protects and handles information when you use our Android app, Windows app and website.

1. Introduction

DukaanAdda (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by Anita Tech Solutions, is a business utility application designed to help retailers and wholesalers manage billing, inventory, invoices, customer credit records (khata), and marketplace orders.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use, and safeguard your personal and business information when you use the DukaanAdda Android mobile app, Windows desktop app, and our website (https://dukaanadda.com). Please read this policy in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions.

By installing, accessing, or using our applications or services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not download, install, or use DukaanAdda.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to verify your identity, maintain secure syncing between your devices, generate business documents, and process order requests:

  • Account Profile Data: Google account name, email address, profile picture (if provided by Google), Firebase Authentication user ID, login dates, and session tokens.
  • Business Configuration Profile: Shop name, owner name, business type, category, physical address, city, state, pin code, GSTIN (optional), custom business logo, default invoice terms, and default invoice signatures.
  • App Activity & Records: Product names, category tags, purchase and sale pricing, stock balances, customer names, contact phone numbers, invoice dates, bill totals, credit-debit ledger entries, and marketplace order details.
  • Support and Upgrade Verifications: Email conversations with support, payment UTR codes, transaction reference numbers, and billing screenshots submitted during manual subscription upgrades.
  • Technical Indicators: Device manufacturer, platform operating system version (Android or Windows), app build version, notification tokens, and stability diagnostics.

3. Information You Provide

You directly provide most of the data we record. This occurs when you sign in, enter your shop profile, upload inventory lists, add customer records, generate invoice PDFs, log debit-credit transactions on ledger accounts, place marketplace orders with wholesalers, or email support.

You represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents and have the lawful right to enter any customer, employee, or counterparty details into our application.

4. Information Collected Automatically

We automatically collect basic device and session metadata during runtime to maintain account synchronization and security:

  • Session Security: We verify your active login status and session token expiry intervals to prevent unauthorized access.
  • App Performance: We collect crash telemetry, version status, and platform parameters to prompt critical updates.
  • Push Notification Routing: We log notification tokens to route order updates and billing alerts.

5. Location Information

DukaanAdda may collect location details to assist you during business setup (e.g. state selection) or to enable discovery between retailers and wholesalers in the marketplace.

This information is collected only when you explicitly grant location permissions on your device or type address parameters manually. We do not run continuous background location tracking unless explicitly introduced and disclosed in future updates. You can manage or revoke location permissions at any time through your device's system settings.

6. Camera, Files and Device Permissions

Depending on your device platform, DukaanAdda may request specific system permissions:

  • Camera: Required to scan product barcodes for counter sales or to capture product/payment images where supported.
  • Files and Storage: Required to compile, download, and share professional invoice PDFs, and to upload custom business logos or signatures for your invoice templates.
  • Notifications: Required to send order updates, payment reminders, account status changes, and critical security notices.

These permissions are accessed only to perform active features and can be managed directly in your device's system settings.

7. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following legitimate business purposes:

  • To verify your identity and manage secure Google login sessions.
  • To compile and generate invoices, thermal print formats, and PDF files.
  • To sync your business ledger and stock counts in real-time across your Android and Windows devices.
  • To manage product inventories, HSN categories, tax slabs, and low-stock indicators.
  • To allow retailers to discover registered wholesalers and place marketplace orders.
  • To process manual Pro plan activation checks using UTR or payment reference numbers.
  • To route transaction notifications, order updates, and customer support replies.
  • To diagnose application bugs, maintain cloud servers, and block fraudulent activity.
  • To comply with applicable local tax rules, accounting practices, or legal disputes.

8. Invoices, Customers, Khata and Business Records

Any customer phone numbers, invoice item descriptions, product pricing lists, or credit-debit transaction logs you enter into the application are stored solely to provide your business with digital tools.

DukaanAdda operates strictly as a data processor and storage provider for these records; we do not audit, verify, or validate your invoice lists or transactions. You are responsible for ensuring your business data complies with local guidelines. We advise exporting and backing up your records regularly for local accounting compliance.

9. Marketplace Data

If you participate in the wholesaler-retailer marketplace, certain business details become visible to other participants. A wholesaler's public catalog, HSN category visibility, product prices, and business address details are visible to retailers to allow cart selection.

When a retailer submits a marketplace cart order, their business name, contact number, delivery preferences, and selected items are shared with the wholesaler. Contact details are shown based on your privacy configurations and marketplace settings.

10. Payments and Premium Plan

  • Android Purchases: Premium Pro subscriptions purchased inside the Android app are processed securely via Google Play Billing. DukaanAdda does not collect or store credit card numbers or banking credentials.
  • Windows Upgrades: Direct desktop activations require the manual submission of transaction reference numbers or billing screenshots. We store this metadata only to verify payment and manually activate your Pro workspace.
  • Invoice QR Codes: The payment QR codes displayed on your invoice PDFs are compiled using the UPI ID configured by you in settings. DukaanAdda does not process these payments; funds transfer directly to your designated bank account.

11. Notifications

We send push notifications to alert you about order status updates, sync status changes, premium plan expiry warnings, and service changes.

You can control notification permissions in your device settings. If disabled, critical security alerts or login session updates will still display inside the app dashboard.

12. Data Sharing and Service Providers

DukaanAdda does not sell, lease, or rent your personal or business data. We share information only with trusted services necessary to operate the application:

  • Firebase & Google Cloud: Used for secure user authentication, database hosting, cloud storage of logos/PDFs, and push notification delivery.
  • Google Play Billing: Used to manage and verify Android purchases.
  • Marketplace Counterparties: Business data and order carts are shared with wholesalers or retailers you actively transact with in the marketplace.
  • Legal Disclosures: We may share data with legal authorities if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or Anita Tech Solutions.

13. Data Storage and Security

Your account credentials, business inventory, invoice data, and khata records are hosted securely on Firebase and Google Cloud servers. We implement standard industry security controls, including database rules, session validation, and restricted admin access to verify payment screenshots.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your Google account login details and locking access to your devices.

14. Data Retention

We retain your account details and business files for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide our services.

We may retain certain transaction records or invoice details after account termination to resolve disputes, comply with tax/accounting rules, prevent fraud, or satisfy regulatory audit processes.

15. Account Deletion and Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your data. You can request account deletion through the following channels:

Upon receiving a verified request, we will initiate the deletion of your account. Personal profile info and login sync details will be removed or anonymized. Certain transactional business records (such as invoices, marketplace order history, and ledger entries) may be retained if legally required or needed by your business counterparties.

16. Your Choices and Rights

You have the right to access, edit, or delete the business profile, product list, and customer records you upload.

17. Children’s Privacy

DukaanAdda is a commercial business utility intended for wholesalers, retailers, and shop managers. It is not designed for or directed to children.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can purge the records.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app features, cloud infrastructure, or legal compliance needs.

When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of our apps or website after updates constitute acceptance of the modified policy.
